Last Wednesday in August we wrapped up our Wednesday night prayer meetings for the summer. This was such a blessed time for Faith. I was constantly amazed at how the church responded to this call to come before the Lord as one voice as his body. While this was the final weekly meeting of the summer, we are going to continue these prayer nights once a month on the first Wednesday night of the month.
If you weren’t able to make it out that evening, use the scripture and the prayer guide below and pray right now where you are!
Who Is like the Lord Our God?
Psalm 113 Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised!
4 The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens!
5 Who is like the Lord our God,
who is seated on high,
6 who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
7 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!
Prayer 1 –
113 Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
3 From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised!
Pray Up – Remembering what the Lord has done in your life to deliver you to himself and pray prayers of praise.
Pray In – That Faith Baptist Church would be a church that remembers and celebrates with zeal what God is doing in our body
Pray Out – For a heart to share praise from the rising to the setting sun, which means everywhere we go all day long.
Prayer 2 –
4 The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens!
5 Who is like the Lord our God,
who is seated on high,
6 who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
Pray Up – That God would allow us to see the weight and scope of His glory so we would be drawn to Him now
Pray In – For Faith to embrace and grow in our ability to stir up one another toward our pursuit of living for Jesus.
Pray Out – For boldness to proclaim God’s rule over all things and for the right heart to help lead people to the feet of king Jesus.
Prayer 3 –
7 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!
Pray Up – Meditate on the goodness of God who cares for the poor and broken
Pray In – For the heart of Faith to continue to be attentive and softened to the needs of the body so we would care for each other well. Pray for specific needs of the people of the church now.
Pray Out – For the hurting and broken in the world and for our culture to be broken of its unbiblical view of the value of human life and children, and that we would be a bold “voice in the wilderness” sharing the good news of what God has given us freely.
