"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."
(Hebrews 10: 24-25)
What to Expect
We joyfully gather together regularly on Sunday mornings for worship at 10am.
We invite you to join us, no matter if you have been following Jesus for years or are just curious about who Jesus is.
On a typical Sunday morning you can expect our time of worship to look like this:
Music and Singing -
Every week we sing to our great God with songs that are a mixture of classic hymns as well as modern praise songs. We seek to sing joyful praise to the Lord through songs with rich theological truth that engages our emotions and our minds.
Music at Faith is not about a performance but it is about the whole church engaging in worship through music and song together. When you join us come ready to sing!
Prayer -
We want to be a church that is committed to praying together. In addition to praying together at various times of the service, we have a shared time of corporate prayer where we engage in prayer together. During this time we have prescribed topics that focus our prayer time to lift up praises, concerns, and cares to the Lord.
If you are visiting and are in need of prayer we have Connection Cards on the Welcome Desk with room for those requests on them OR please come find one of the pastors so we can pray with you!
Messages -
We believe God's Word that is found in the Bible is a gift from God! Therefore, every Sunday we open the Bible together as a church with the goal of digging in deep. We want to clearly teach what God's Word says in a way that we can understand and be transformed by the power it contains.
We want to know and be challenged by the full counsel of the Word and so our pattern for our messages is to work through entire books of the Bible, book by book, one section at a time.
The Lord's Supper -
Each week we share the Lord's Supper together. We come around the table to eat and drink together as Christ commanded his followers to do. This is a time for us as a body to come together in remembrance that our Lord Jesus has died in our place to wash us clean of our sin.
We invite all whose faith and hope is in Jesus as their Lord to the table to share in this simple means of grace.
Giving -
We believe all Christians are called to worship through sacrificial giving. We have an offering box in the back of the church that individuals can use to give, free from compulsion and out of the abundance of their heart. If you would like to give online, you can do that here: Faith Baptist Church Online Giving.
If you are a visitor, please know you are under no obligation to give.
Sunday mornings following the service, we have Community Groups that meet at the church. We invite everyone to grab some coffee, enjoy a snack, and stick around for a time to connect with one another.
These small groups spend time praying for and with one another. We also dig into the big idea and transformational intent of that day's message so that God's Word would dwell richly in us as we go back out into the world to serve Him!
Every first Sunday of the month during the Community Group time we invite the whole church to have lunch together. We invite everyone to bring a lunch and stick around in the downstairs area to eat and spend time together. If you are visiting, we invite you to join us!
During the Sunday morning service kids of all ages join their families for worship. We believe children are a blessing from God and are a vital part of the church. We love to see families worshiping together!
We know that having families together adds some extra noise.... but that's ok! If you have a restless younger child we do have a "Mom's Room" on the lower level next to the women's restroom where the service is live streamed. Please feel free to escape down there to care for your little one if you need to.
During the Community Group time we have classes for kids age 2-6. These classes teach kids stories from the Old and New Testament in order to help build a basic understanding of God's story of redemption that is found in the Biblical narrative.
We invite you to come as you are. Please come and join us whether you wear a suit and tie or jeans and a t-shirt, though most tend to come more casual.
Our worship services take place in the sanctuary on the main level. We have two driveways off of 44th Street that lead to parking around the back of the church.
Our West Entrance will take you in through the lower level where our restrooms and classrooms are. The Main Entrances is off the east driveway and leads directly into the sanctuary.
For handicap accessible access, you are welcome to unload on the east driveway at the Main Entrance. There is also handicap parking available off of the east driveway. If you are in need of assistance, please let one of our greeters at the door know and we will be happy to assist you.
Whether you are a Christian and are looking for a church home or you have never been to church and are just looking to see what Jesus is about, we are excited to connect with you to help you on your journey.
If we don't find you first, please speak with one of the pastors and we would be happy to help you get connected to the life of Faith.
We also have connection cards on the Welcome Desk as you enter. Please fill one out when you visit and drop it in the offering box on the back wall. You can also use the digital connection card with this link: Connection Card.
