Who do we turn to in our most desperate times?
King Ahaz looks to everything within his own power to try to deal with the threat of the alliance between Syria and Israel when who he really needs to look to and trust in is Yahweh himself.
Introduction
What does the “Sign of Immanuel” point us to?
Isaiah comes to bring peace but King Ahaz rejects this offer
Main Idea:
God will provide His faithful king who will rule His people righteously

To see and believe that God has come to rescue and dwell with his people through his son Jesus

In v 10 – 14 the sign of Immanuel points us beyond the lifetime of Ahaz
In v 15-25 the judgement that is coming on Israel and Judah comes to pass during the time of Ahaz and his contemporaries

God rescues and he rules through his son Jesus – who is Immanuel
