Questions to use for discussion during Community groups following the sermon on Nehemiah 7:4-73
How can we pray for one another?
Where is God working in your life?
Do we have any praises in our lives or the life of the church?
- What stood out to us from the passage?
- What stood out to us from the sermon?
- What influence can our ancestors and family have on our current condition (good and bad)? How can we influence future generations in our family?
- Think of your spiritual heritage. Who led you to the Lord and how did that come to be?
3.a How can we and/or how are we using our gifts to build a spiritual family tree?
- What was significant about the financial contributions various people made to the work (Nehemiah 7:70-72)? How does this relate to our giving as New Testament believers?
- The people needed to come and live and worship in Jerusalem to truly see it restored after the exile. How do we live as citizens of the kingdom here in this world while we are waiting for the New Jerusalem of Revelation 21?
